Delegation of Power to Sell Chometz (Part 2)

    This certifies that I, the undersigned, hereby authorize Rabbi Avrohom Simmonds, who resides in Rowatt, next to Regina, Saskatchewan, to sell all "Chometz" -­­­ as defined by Torah and rabbinical law - that is in my possession as of on the day preceding Passover of this year. This authorization is not subject to any conditions. The chometz may be sold without any stipulations or conditions attached, in a complete and final sale that is binding both in Torah and Rabbinical law, as well as in secular law. The chometz may be sold to anyone whom the said rabbi wishes to sell it to, by any method or by any transaction the said rabbi deems proper. The chometz may be sold by the said rabbi personally, or by any representative whom he chooses to act in his place.

    This authorization includes all chometz, all food mixtures which contain derivatives of chometz, all food utensils which have chometz adhered to their surface, and anything that might constitute a possible violation of Jewish law if I were to possess it on Passover. The said rabbi is also authorized with the same power, to sell any livestock or pets that are fed chometz or mixtures which contain chometz. The said rabbi is also authorized to lease to whomever he deems necessary, all places (closet space, room areas, etc.) where the said chometz, chometz mixtures, utensils, livestock and pets are located.     Any doubtful wording used in this contract is to be interpreted to the benefit of the buyer. This authorization is in full accordance with the laws of the Torah, and of the province of Saskatchewan, and this document is intended as a sincere, legal obligation. As proof thereof, I hereby attach my signature on or before the twelfth day of the month of Nissan [ניסן] of the year 5785 [ה'תשפ"ה] since Creation.
